6th World Children’s Festival (WCF) on July 30–August 1, 2021, at the National Mall across from the U.S. Capitol. Organized every four years, the WCF is the “Olympics” of creativity and imagination.
You can take the Metro to the Smithsonian Station and walk up to our “Wellness Center” to learn how we mitigate COVID at the WCF. You can watch our electrifying performances on the “World Stage” or see our masterpieces exhibited right across from the National Gallery of Art. You can participate in any of the workshops or activities taking place in a dozen pavilions. You’ll learn something new from eminent educators, prominent artists, and subject matter experts from federal agencies and universities. We’ll provide workshop materials and art supplies. You should bring your facemasks, water bottles, sunscreen lotions, and an umbrella too.
Our WCF cultivates creativity for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, grows mutual empathy for “a more perfect union,” and blossoms into a public celebration of creativity, diversity, and unity.
- Friday, July 30th is our Health and Environment Day. The sharing of common concerns and perspectives can scaffold the mutual empathy necessary for public health and climate change solutions.
- Saturday, July 31st is our Creativity & Imagination Day. Join us to celebrate American ingenuity so we can embrace an entrepreneurial, innovative spirit.
- Sunday, August 1st is our Peace & Leadership Day. Help us recast this wounded world into a wondrous one.
