Childhood Uninterrupted works with special needs parents, children, and their families. We advocate for the inclusion of special needs children.

We aim to create a safe space where parents can share their wins and struggles. In working and building partnerships with parents, it is our hope that we serve as a beacon of hope and resource on their journey as parents of special needs children.

Childhood Uninterrupted is a virtual hug to special needs parents all over the world. The creation of Childhood Uninterrupted steemed from the awareness that special needs parents often lack support, inclusivity, and an avenue to be vulnerable.

As we share what we know at Childhood Uninterrupted, we want to learn from you. We want to hear your stories.

It is our mission to create a platform and an environment that enable parents of special needs children to embrace as well as celebrate their role as caregivers and nurturers in the lives of their children. We want special needs parents to feel seen, heard, and included in a world that constantly labels them as “different”.

Together, let us share with the world the power of inclusion and acceptance.

THE FOUNDER

Tosin Ade is the founder of Childhood Uninterrupted. She is an Education Specialist and consultant. Currently, she works as an elementary school Education Specialist. She has over a decade of experience as an Education Specialist. Over the years, she has instructed hundreds of special needs children from the elementary to the secondary level.

As part of the IEP multidisciplinary team, she makes decisions in regards to the academic development, behavior, and emotional well-being of hundreds of special needs children with varying disabilities. She has extensive knowledge of special education best practices and policies.

In developing and implementing legally compliant IEPs for students, she has been able to transition special needs students to the general education classroom where they no longer needed special education services to access the curriculum. Thereby, reducing the over-identification of special needs students. Tosin is a huge advocate and proponent of inclusion within the education system.

Tosin has a master’s degree in School Leadership from California State University, Dominguez Hills, a Master’s in Special Education from National University, and a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies from California State University, Northridge. She also has California Administrative Services and Education Specialist (Mild/Moderate disabilities) credentials. She holds an Autism Spectrum Disorder Authorization.
